The Top 10 Ways To Quickly Grow Your Twitch Following

Twitch is a live-streaming platform that has recently gained much popularity. If you’re a gamer, chances are you’ve heard of Twitch. And if you’re a Twitch user or streamer, you know how competitive it can be to grow your following.

Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 ways to quickly grow your Twitch following. From social media to running giveaways, these tips will let you gain the most from your live-streaming experience and attract new viewers.

1. Be active in the community.

Be active in growing your Twitch following, getting involved in conversations and communities, asking questions, and participating in discussions with other streamers. This will help you get to know other users and build relationships. And as you become more involved, more people will become aware of your channel and what you have to offer.

2. Engage with your viewers.

Engaging with your current viewers is another excellent way to grow your following. When you take the time to interact with viewers in the chat, they feel more connected to you and your channel. This can encourage them to come back and watch your streams more often. If they enjoy your content, they’re more likely to tell their friends about you. Don’t get tunnel vision into whatever you’re doing, make sure to check chat at least once per minute.

3. Have a consistent schedule.

A consistent plan is essential if you want people to keep coming back to your channel. Let your viewers know when you’ll be streaming, and stick with this schedule as much as possible. This way, they’ll know when to expect fresh content from you and be more likely to tune in. Along with your consistent schedule, defining how many hours you will stream will help with long term success. Too many streamers just stream gameplay for 8 to 12 hours a day, it is really hard to retain viewer engagement with these super long streams.

 4. Be personable

People like to watch personable and relatable streamers. So make sure you’re showing your personality on your channel, don’t be shy, be yourself. Talk to your viewers, tell stories, and make jokes. Let them get to know you, get to know them and they’ll be more likely to stick around.

5. Give your viewers exclusive content

People are more likely to follow a channel that offers exclusive content. So if you want to grow your following, consider giving your viewers something they can’t get anywhere else. This could be anything from special discounts to exclusive access to certain types of content you might have on other platforms.

6. Host regular giveaways

Giveaways are a great way to attract new viewers and grow your following. People love free stuff, so if you offer regular giveaways, you’re likely to see an increase in traffic to your channel. Just make sure you’re clear about the rules and requirements for each giveaway and that you have budgeted for the giveaway items if they are not sponsored giveaways.

7. Collaborate with other streamers.

Collaborating with other streamers is a great way to expose your channel to a new audience. And as you collaborate with more people, you’ll start to build a network of connections that can help you grow your following. So do not fear reaching out and collaborating with other streamers. Make sure when you’re done with your stream you take a minute to browse through other streamers in your category and /raid them.

8. Promote your stream on social media.

Social media is a powerful tool that you can use to promote your stream and attract new viewers. If you’re not already using social media to promote your channel, make sure you start. Create social media accounts for your track and start sharing your content with the world. Short form platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels and YT Shorts are great. I highly recommend posting YouTube Shorts, when uploading shorts make sure you’re going into the advanced area and setting your category as “Gaming” and in the Optional “Game” field that appears, ALWAYS make sure to select the game the clip is for. This has lead to great views on my content and with some AB testing, not including the optional “Game” data will cause your short to have minimal views.

9. Run ads. If you want to reach a Much Bigger audience.

You can always run ads. Ads are a fantastic way to promote your channel to people who might not be aware of it. And if you run ads consistently, you’re likely to significantly increase your Twitch following. Don’t do this as a new streamer, get some time under your belt, learn from other streamers and online audiences first. If you have disposable income you can run whatever ads you want!

10. Utilize Twitch tools.

Twitch has several tools that you can use to grow your following. From Twitch Alerts to Twitch Studio, there are several ways to take advantage of Twitch’s features and attract new viewers. So make sure you’re familiar with the available tools and take advantage of them.
